The DCTC just keeps growing alumni who play the Slams and upset seeded players.

In the 2014 U.S. Open, Serbia’s Aleksadra Krunic upset Czech Petra Kvitova, # 12 seed and world’s top ten. Mirjana Lucic-Baroni stopped # 3 seed Simona Halep, Romania, ranked # 2 in the world.

Then there are the six alumni who won singles Grand Slam titles like Maria, Mary, Li, Francesca, Anastasia and Justine. And about 35 or so who played Midland and won “Slams” doubles championships.
